Food Service Director 

The Food Service Director oversees the operation of the camp food service through planning, ordering and preparation of a nutritious and diverse menu that meets the dietary needs of campers and team members. Directs the overall food-service operation of the camp including purchasing, preparation, nutrition, service, sanitation, security, personal management, and record keeping. They work closely with our Cooks and Kitchen Porters to help serve 900 meals a day, family style! Ultimatley, these leaders act act as a positive role model to campers and staff in attitude and behavior, follow and uphold all safety and security rules and procedures, and set a good example to campers and others regarding general camp procedures and practices including sanitation, scheduling, and sportsmanship.
 

Kitchen Porter

Camp TAW's Kitchen Porters help prepare food and food itens for service. This can include including cleaning and preparing foods for service, practicing safe knife skills, displaying time management for each mealtime, assisting  with setting up and breaking down the buffet, drink stations, and partaking in the general daily cleaning, and washing dishes. Staff in this position will learn the basics of operating a kitchen and improve basic cooking skills. Like all staff at Ton-A-Wandah, Kitchen Porters serve as positive role model to campers and staff in attitude and behavior, follow and uphold all safety and security rules and procedures, and set a good example to campers and others regarding general camp procedures and practices including sanitation, scheduling, and sportsmanship.
  

Cook and Assistant Cook

The Assistant cook helps with the food preparation determined by Serve Safe regulations, as well as local and state laws and regulations. They prepare foods to the specifications of campers and help the Kitchen Porters develop their skills. They adjust food items to accommodate campers and staff with allergies or specific diet concerns. They work closely with our Food Services Director to help serve 900 meals a day, family style! Ultimatley, these leaders act act as a positive role model to campers and staff in attitude and behavior, follow and uphold all safety and security rules and procedures, and set a good example to campers and others regarding general camp procedures and practices including sanitation, scheduling, and sportsmanship.
