From horseback riding to adventure programming to waterfront fun to landsports to fine arts, the adventure never stops at TAW.
Our riding program allows beginners and experienced horsewomen alike to seek out new challenges in the riding ring.
Experienced instructors lead girls on backpacking trips ranging from short day hikes to overnight campouts, rock climbing, and high ropes courses. It’s all about building self-confidence and trust, sharing songs, stories, and s’mores beneath a canopy of stars.
For the water bugs, our sparkling 10-acre lake provides days of “blob” bouncing, canoeing, paddleboarding, and splashing fun!
Are you the next performer on Broadway? With camp’s music, dance, and set design, and art classes, your creative side will flourish in making and creating works of art!
But the adventure goes beyond the boundaries of camp with trips to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, Sliding Rock in Transylvania County, Whitewater rafting trips in Western North Carolina, and backpacking in the Pisgah National Forest.
Every camper designs her own activity schedule on the first day of camp, and staff members serve as trained instructors. But the great part… by the end of their session, campers have built confidence and skills around activities they may have never participated in before.
