Ton-A-Wandah is a girls summer camp located in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Our name means “by the fall of water”.
Since 1933, girls ages 6-15 have come to discover Ton-A-Wandah is more than a place; it's a place in your heart.

To apply for a position at Camp Ton-A-Wandah during the summer, please fill out a staff application form. Remember to give your complete addresses (both permanent home and college, if applicable), as well as, e-mail address, phone number(s) and the contact information and former employers. We will review your application once it is received, and if it meets our criteria, we will call you to schedule an interview. Our preference is for us to meet here at Camp Ton-A-Wandah, so you can see first hand where you will be working and living during the summer. (This will also give you ample opportunity to ask questions!) If a visit is impossible, we can arrange to interview you at your college (or residence) or over the phone.
Every year we receive a large number of staff applications, but it is critical to us to find the very best staff for the summer. Our campers and their families depend on it! So, in addition to the application and checking of references, you will also be asked to fill out a short personality profile questionnaire. This also aids us in determining the best placement for staff members both in activity instruction and in cabin groups.
Please note that tobacco, alcohol and drugs have NO place at camp! Consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors (under 21) while employed by Camp Ton-A-Wandah is illegal under North Carolina state law and is grounds for immediate dismissal. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages may be brought onto camp property, and no one may return to camp under the influence. The use of any controlled substance by a Camp Ton-A-Wandah staff member is strictly prohibited. Persons violating this policy will be subject to termination of employment and legal prosecution. These policies apply to all staff members during the entire contract period: when on duty, during time-off and between sessions.
