Ton-A-Wandah is a girls summer camp located in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Our name means “by the fall of water”.
Since 1933, girls ages 6-15 have come to discover Ton-A-Wandah is more than a place; it's a place in your heart.

One might think that December or January would be the time of the year that we get the heavy snow but it seems like March is the magic month for us here at camp. At noon on Sunday, the snow started coming down and fell into the early morning hours creating a winter wonderland as the light peaked over the horizon this morning. Ton-A-Wandah is always newsworthy, but last week we found ourselves on the front page of The Times News in Hendersonville! We were asked to share some of our time-honored traditions for a story. The Times chose to focus on one of our oldest and most revered traditions – our tribes - and the renovation and relocation of the fire ring to below the waterfall on Ton-A-Wandah property.
