Billy & Judy Haynes
Camp Owners & Executive Directors

Camp Ton-A-Wandah has been owned and operated by members of the Haynes family for three generations. The second of Donnie Haynes's grandsons to follow in her footsteps, Billy Haynes and his wife Judy Haynes serve as the camp's executive directors. Billy is a graduate of Wofford College with a B.A. in psychology. Judy Haynes is a native of Jacksonville and an alumna of the University of North Florida with graduate studies in sociology as well as elementary and secondary education. Together, they are proud to carry on the tradition of guiding campers through action-packed days that create precious summer memories and lifelong friendships.

Key Staff Members

Garrett Graham, Director of Operations
Garrett has been involved in camping since 1994 and came to camp in 2000 after hiking the Appalachian Trail. He has served as the Mountaineering Director, Associate Director, and Director of Operation at Camp Ton-A-Wandah. He is very involved in the greater camping community, serving on the Board of the American Camping Association, Western North Carolina Camp Directors Association, and The Henderson County Young Leaders Program. Garrett is our man.
Marianne Bernier, Program Director
A longtime member of the camping community, Marianne joins us for the 2008 camping season with years of program directing at Camp Pinnacle under her belt.
Margaret Farish , Director of Media and Marketing
A former camper and counselor, Margaret had so much fun at camp in 2007 that she stayed on to work full-time. Along with other projects, Margaret is helping camp gear up for its 75th anniversary next summer.
Kim Haynes, Office Manager
Although Kim has been part of the Haynes's family for many years, she has just recently become an essential part of camp. Kim ensures that the daily camp operations run efficiently and effectively for our ever expanding TAW family.

Callie Whitney, Assistant Program Director

Once you come to Camp Ton-A-Wandah, you just can't leave! Callie learned this lesson firsthand last summer, when she remained at Ton-A-Wandah after doing an amazing job as the 2007 Music Coordinator. Now, Callie is the right hand of Marianne Bernier for the summer of 2008!

Kayce Douglass, Riding Director

Whether you ride horses during the summer or not, we know you love our dear Kayce! Kayce's love of horses and camp  is what makes our riding program so special. You can't know Kayce without also knowing Gus, her sweetheart of a  Golden Retreiver, who you can also always find at the barn!
